Do you need to make the product or publish files you already have?
Genesize starts with the content you want to create. Bring your notes, audience and intended outcome, review the structure and develop an editable draft. Add your examples, check the facts and refine the design before exporting. Ebooks support PDF, editable DOCX and plain text; EPUB and direct Kindle publishing are not currently included.
The product can then connect to your Genesize storefront and editable AI sales funnel. You review the offer and publish it yourself. A generated draft still needs your judgment, and a storefront still needs a way to reach suitable buyers.
Stan’s digital-download instructions start with a product listing and either an uploaded file or a delivery URL. That is a useful route when you already have a finished PDF, template or other resource. Test what the customer receives, including any external sharing settings when using a link.
Compare the actual AI workflow
Do not describe Stan as having no AI. Its help center distinguishes Stan Store from Stanley, a separate AI content product with different pricing. It also documents an AI Twin product type in beta. Those are different jobs from building and exporting a written guide. Check availability and the exact subscription instead of assuming every AI feature comes with a Store plan.
For a closer look at manuscript and export tools, see our AI ebook generator comparison. Judge an editable sample and the final file, rather than the AI label alone.
Written resources and video courses need different delivery tools
Genesize buyers can use the online reader for purchased written products and the supported downloads you publish. Written courses include manual lesson completion and saved progress through private purchase access. Hosted video lessons, graded quizzes, certificates and creator-facing learner reports are not currently included. Communities and paid memberships are future features.
Stan’s course documentation describes modules, uploaded video lessons, supporting files, drip release and learner progress analytics. Lesson videos cannot be downloaded through the lesson area; supporting files can. That makes it worth testing for an offer built around watching lessons.
For a download, Stan documents access through the confirmation page and confirmation email. Its membership guide also describes recurring charges for ongoing offers. These are existing delivery options to compare against what you promise buyers.
Write that promise first: “a PDF checklist and editable guide” is different from “six video lessons and a monthly community.” Choose a system that can deliver it today. Our ebook vs course guide can help you narrow the format.

Compare the plans that cover your work
Stan advertises a 14-day trial rather than a permanent free Store plan. Genesize also offers a 14-day trial for eligible new subscribers, with 400 total AI credits and a payment method required. Compare the renewal terms as well as what you can test during each trial.
For a starting storefront, Stan Creator has a lower monthly bill than Genesize Starter. Genesize Starter also includes the written-product creation workflow, 3 saved projects and 1,000 monthly AI credits. Saved projects measure what you keep in the workspace, not a monthly creation allowance. Paid credits refresh monthly on either billing interval.
If you need customer email campaigns, compare paid Genesize Creator at $58 per month with Stan Creator Pro at $99 per month. Genesize marketing sends require the first paid subscription payment and have plan allowances. Check contact capacity, sending terms and other tools you still need before calling one plan cheaper overall.
A fair first-year calculation
On month-to-month billing, twelve Genesize Starter payments total $408 and twelve Stan Creator payments total $348. The annual offers above cost different amounts upfront. This is subscription arithmetic, not a claim of equal features, measured savings or profit.
Zero platform commission does not remove payment costs
Genesize takes no platform percentage of Store sales, and Stan states a 0% platform transaction fee. Genesize uses connected Stripe checkout. Stan’s fee guide explains processing and other charges that can depend on country, payment method, currency, recurring billing and payouts. Compare your actual payment route; do not apply one country’s example rate to every sale.
Build your budget from subscription + payment costs + extra AI or marketing services + other tools + applicable taxes. Do not use rising sales to invent a platform-commission break-even point here: neither platform charges the percentage fee being compared.
Social links, email follow-up and the work of reaching buyers
A Genesize storefront or product link can be shared from a social profile, article or email. Its sales funnels help you prepare a clear path from an offer to checkout. Paid Creator and Business plans add customer records, segments, campaigns and follow-ups. Sending allowances apply; review and activate your own campaigns.
Stan is built around a social-profile storefront. Its AutoDM documentation describes sending a chosen link through Instagram when someone comments a keyword. If that path is central to your launch, test its supported setup and account requirements.
Stan Email Flows and Broadcasts require Creator Pro. Its Pro feature guide also lists funnels, order bumps and affiliate sharing. A product confirmation email and an ongoing marketing sequence are different jobs, so check the plan for the messages you actually intend to send.
Neither platform supplies an audience or guarantees sales. Start with one useful offer and a suitable way to reach people who need it. Our guide to selling without an audience and email marketing guide cover that next step.
A practical product brief to test both workflows
Use one small offer to compare the work involved. This is an original planning example, not a customer result or a test we have run in Stan.
A freelance copywriter’s project brief kit
Buyer: a freelance copywriter starting a client project. Outcome: agree on the audience, scope and review process before writing. Deliverables: a short guide, an annotated project brief and a kickoff checklist. Add five written lessons only if learners need more guidance.
- In Genesize: use your process and examples to develop the guide, edit the draft, inspect the export and prepare its storefront offer.
- In Stan: prepare the files, create the download listing and check confirmation-page delivery. If your offer uses video, compare the course product instead.
- In either workflow: open the product on a phone, check the exact promise, preview the purchase path and make sure buyers can recover their access link.
Record what passed, what required a different plan and what still needed a separate tool. A stronger feature list does not compensate for a missing requirement. Use our launch checklist for a fuller review.
Which platform should you choose?
- Choose Genesize when creating the written product is your main gap. You want drafting, editing, exports and the offer connected in one workspace.
- Consider Stan for a ready-to-sell social offer. Its documented storefront, video delivery, bookings or membership workflow may match what your audience already buys.
- Compare the marketing plan separately. Work out whether you need email, selling add-ons or a specific social interaction before comparing entry prices.
- Keep an existing system that buyers still need. Test one new product before moving a working course library or recurring offer.
You can also create a supported export in Genesize and use it in another selling workflow. That does not move subscriptions, buyer access, course progress or email permissions automatically. Check those separately before replacing public links.
For other routes, compare Genesize vs Payhip for a platform with a free entry plan, or Genesize vs Kajabi for a broader teaching business.
Genesize vs Stan Store FAQs
Is Genesize a Stan Store alternative?
Yes, for creating and selling written digital products. Genesize connects AI product drafts, editing, exports, a storefront and sales funnels. Stan Store is worth considering for a social-profile storefront, finished downloads, video courses, bookings or memberships. Choose by what you need to create and deliver.
Which is cheaper, Genesize or Stan Store?
On monthly billing, Genesize Starter is $34 and Stan Creator is $29. For built-in customer email campaigns, compare paid Genesize Creator at $58 with Stan Creator Pro at $99. These plans have different capabilities and limits. Processing, extra services and applicable taxes are separate.
Does either platform take a percentage of product sales?
Genesize does not take a platform percentage of Store sales, and Stan states a 0% platform transaction fee. Payment processing still applies. Stan’s fee guide also documents other applicable charges, including payouts and payment-method differences. Compare the full payment route instead of assuming that 0% means selling is free.
Does Stan Store include Stanley AI?
Stan’s help center describes Stan Store and Stanley as separate products with different pricing. Check the exact offer rather than assuming a Store subscription includes a separate AI subscription. Stan also documents an AI Twin product type in beta; that is different from generating and exporting a complete written product.
Can I create an ebook in Genesize and sell it on Stan?
You can use a supported, reviewed export such as PDF in a separate Stan digital-download workflow if it meets Stan’s product rules. Check the actual file and buyer access before publishing. Exporting a file does not move course progress, existing subscriptions, email permissions or customer access automatically.
What does the Genesize trial include?
Eligible new subscribers receive 14 days, 400 total AI credits and up to 3 saved projects. A payment method is required, and the selected subscription renews unless canceled. Genesize does not offer a permanent free plan. Live customer email campaigns need the first payment on a plan that includes email.
